Grant Eligibility

We fund 8 to 10 applications each year, from an initial pool of over 50 inquiries.

• Eligibility: The Action Africa Giving Circle provides small grants of up to $3,000 to grassroots, community-based organizations in Africa, that have annual incomes of $60,000 or less, and that are registered in their home countries as non-profits (NPOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), or community-based organizations (CBOs).
• Our values: We look for projects which promote diversity and equality, supporting organizations that treat all people with dignity, respect, and compassion. We strive to empower our grantees by providing hope and opportunities that transform lives.
• Our priorities: We fund a range of direct services to impoverished women, children, and families. Because of our small size, at this time we cannot fund infrastructure, building, repairs, or furnishings, and we cannot provide emergency funding, or funding for individuals.
